A mastery of tact allows the leader to direct others in a “teacher-scholar” relationship, rather than in a “master-slave” manner. Failing to address even the most junior members of the team in a manner that matches the situation pollutes the morale of the organization. Screamers, insult artists, and dictators toss tact to the side and let fly with whatever comes to mind. Tact: Tact is an important tool in the leader’s box. Welcome back!
